Weekend Fun

Wyatt, Lorrie, and I tend to spend quite a few Saturday mornings at our favorite, local coffee shop, Grantiques.  Wyatt feels quite at home there and even 'helps' the staff make coffees.  This weekend Wyatt scored not only his usual big rice krispie bar, but also this big box!  Brian wasn't too impressed with the box...as Wyatt drags it from room to room creating different transportation machines with it...but he'll get over it!

Wyatt also loves to play with all of the toys at the shop....the ones that aren't breakable!  Here he is having a tea party with Nana Lorrie!  Notice the snow boots......I can't get him to wear his tennis shoes lately!
His personality keeps on growing as does he....we'll be in 5T clothes before I know!

While Daddy's away....we do crafts!

This weekend was just for Wyatt and I....(Brian went on a big ice fishing trip up to Brainerd Minnesota with a few guys).  It was a little strange to be an only parent for a few days, but we tried to have fun and get ready for Valentine's Day on Tuesday.

We started our weekend with a trip to Walmart in search of some red paint.....and came home with four different colors of Crayola finger painting paint!  Wyatt wasn't too sure about getting dirty at first, but once he knew he wasn't going to get in trouble he dug right in!

Nice cheesy face for ya!  Isn't he getting to be such a big boy.....he's now completely potty trained!!!  Brian and I didn't think it would ever happen, but one day he just decided he was done pooping in his pants....it's so awesome!  Wyatt has also started showering instead of taking a bath.....it's faster, which I like...but it really breaks my heart how big he is getting!

Here is his second creation....can you say favorite colors!  Red and Blue...always what he picks!

This is his first creation.....not too bad for a three year old!

These are for Valentine's Day.....a Pinterest project!  Wyatt thought it was pretty funny that I painted his hands red!

The finished product, two Valentine's Day cards for some of his favorite people!

We also baked heart shaped sugar cookies with pink frosting and sprinkles and made almond bark pretzel twists with Valentine's Day sprinkles.  They are all packaged and ready for a fun party at daycare on Tuesday!   It's crazy to think that next year we will be doing Valentine's Day packages for daycare...and preschool!

Just Because

I got quite the surprise earlier in the school week when the secretary called me downstairs for a beautiful bouquet of flowers.  I asked her if they were for sure mine.....they were!
It's not my birthday....that's November.
It's not our anniversary....that's July.
Brian's not in the dog house...that I can remember.....so what was the occasion?

Just because.....I'm not sure if he wanted to beat the Valentine's day prices...and rush....or if he just wanted to make my day...or week!
Either way, I really appreciated this surprise gift that has made many of my fellow teachers go home and give their husbands a hard time!

Just because....quite possibly the best reason to get/give a gift!
