A Few More of Our LIttle Girl

Looking cool in Wyatt's shades during one of our walks this past week.

Dinobaby.....Wyatt's dinosaur tail from Halloween....he wanted to see if she could crawl with it on....she can!

'Let me in'...Ruthie trying to get to Daddy right after he got home from work.  She's a big fan of Brian these days.

It has been unusually mild this August in Spencer and we've actually had the windows open for several days.  So the sunroom's French doors have been opened quite a bit.  Ruthie has discovered this and inches towards the sunroom....but isn't quite brave enough to go in yet.  I just love the look on her face in this one!

Ruthie at 8 Months

Ruthie at 8 months is a lot of fun.  She has really learned how to crawl in the last week, has two teeth that have popped through the lower gums, stands on her own when holding on to something, and isn't quite sleeping through the night.
I don't know if you can tell in this picture, but she's also a huge fan of her big brother.  If I let her, she will crawl into Wyatt's room to bug him.....and try to eat anything that is within her reach.  He doesn't know this, but she love to be in there when he's not.....so he can't tell her, "no, no"

She continues to be very very smiley and loves to get strangers to smile at her.  Ruthie's got so much hair...and since she's eating food now I feel like I'm always cleaning baby food out of her hair.  I'm so glad she's got hair though!
She's got such a personality I can't wait to see what kind of a little person she turns into!

Look out....Ruthie can crawl!

Ruthie went from barely getting around to being quite the crawler this week.  The first video shows how great she can crawl now.  The second video is from just last week.  She was more scooting on her tummy than crawling.

Yes....she does have a dinosaur tail on....Wyatt wanted to see if it would fit her and if she could do a dinosaur crawl with it.......and I thought it was pretty cute.

As we near the end of the last week of my summer vacation it's crazy to see how much she has learned to do in 11 weeks.  She is also pulling herself up to stand by chairs and the couch.  I think she will be walking before her first birthday!
