Our Little Girl

Our little Ruthie seems to change everyday....at her four month appointment last week she weighted in at 16 pounds and was 25.5 inches long.  Both of these measurements put her in the 75-90th percentile.  We make big babies!

She is still sleeping so well!  Up once or twice a night to eat...she probably doesn't need to at this point, but I will continue to nurse her at night until she doesn't want to.  If this is our last baby I want to hold on to all of her baby stages as long as I can!

She just loves daycare!  The other kids there just love her to death...especially the big girls.  The last two photos are from daycare...this one is of one of the almost 3 year olds giving her a 'ride' in a wagon.
Did you notice her Capri's?....Love Them!

This outfit is my new favorite!  Old Navy!  She is just adorable in it!
Ruthie love Wyatt and is always willing to giggle at any funny thing he does.  She's getting the hang of rolling over from tummy to back...but just can't quite get back to tummy yet...I think her fist finding her mouth every time gets in the way.  She'll get it!
After such great weather this weekend we are officially ready for summer time!  I have started a summer to do list on my phone...everything from the Nature Center to Balloon Ninjas...This is going to be the best summer yet with my two babies!

Pictures from the week

So...this outfit is ridiculously cute....I couldn't resist taking a picture of it.

Thursday and Friday we received a bunch of snow....but Sunday was nice enough we were able to play outside for about a half an hour.  Wyatt just loves bubbles right now...and playing in the mud.

You can see said mud in the background...we will be laying sod here soon!

While Wyatt plays outside, Ruthie and I hang out in the garage.  I've been using the front baby carrier a lot with Ruthie.  She seems to...tolerate it...as you can see from these next few photos.

I also cleaned up the ole' highchair today.  Ruthie is now old enough we could probably start feeding her some baby cereal.  We will talk to her doctor about it on Tuesday.

Painting....with one of Daddy's work shirts...and a hat...because Daddy wears a hat to paint.

4 months old...how did that happen

He likes her...he really likes her!  One of our concerns about having our two kids 4+ years apart was that Wyatt would hate not being an only child.....well, for the most part this hasn't been a problem at all.  Just shows how easy going our big boy Wyatt really is!

4 months old....and she seems to grow and change everyday.

Ruthie has a great smile, loves to eat her hands and suck on her lips.  Just a few nights ago she woke up both Brian and I while sucking on her upper lip in her bassinet.  I quickly found a pacifier to solve this problem.

Ruthie has also starting interacting with everything and everyone.  Her hand and eye coordination is coming along well....and her voice....she's found it!  She loves to sit in her bouncy chair and babble on to me while I cook dinner.
We go to the doctor next week for her 4 month check up and shots.  I'll be sure to put her new measurements online.  I'm guessing about 14 pounds as she's been wearing 3-6 month clothes or 6 clothes.

Melts My Heart

Also over Easter break my side of the family got together at my parents house.  My brother in law, Ryan is great with all of the kids....and here is a short video to prove this!
I don't know why Ruthie thought he was so funny....maybe the silly looks, sunglasses on his forehead, or being tired.  Either way, this video just melts my heart!

Easter Weekend

This year we got a 5 day Easter or spring break from school.  It was just what we needed to get re-energized and ready for the rest of the school year!  Here are a few pictures from our weekend.

Wyatt, in his super hero apron, already to dye eggs with Kool-Aid.

Ruthie and I at my mom and dad's on Saturday.  My sister took the photo...I can't believe what a good smile she got out of our little girl!  I also recently cut my hair the shortest it's been since early elementary school.  I love it, it's easy...and it will easily grow out when Ruthie gets bigger...and I have more time to dry/style long hair.

Wyatt making Ruthie gigggle again....she just adores him!

Balloon Rockets.....Wyatt and I did this for nearly an hour on Friday.....science fun at home!

Ruthie has really starting interacting with all of us recently.  Here is a short sample of what she has to share with us everyday!
