More Christmas Pictures

"What is it?"
"What are these things...?".....Underwear!...He wasn't impressed by them even though Santa got him Toy Story and Cars undies.
He was however fairly impressed with the Cars potty seat....we've seen him sitting on it a few times in the living room as though it was just another chair....little does he know what we have in store for him!
All presents unwrapped...now for playtime!
Here he is doing his best Vanna White pose for me to show off his new Toy Story bedding from Santa and pj's from grandma and grandpa!

Merry Christmas!

We did Christmas on Christmas Eve...partly because Brian is on call over the weekend...and partly because Brian loves presents and couldn't wait any longer!
Here is Wyatt with his new Buzz Light Year flashlight.

Read my lips....CHEESE!

"A guitar," Wyatt said as he opened this gift. His vocabulary has expanded so much these past few months. It actually plays Love Shack, Message in a Bottle, Wild Thing, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, and All Star!

It took Wyatt a few presents to really get into the spirit...but he definitely knew what to do by the end! This present was jeans...let's just say he wasn't as excited about them as he was the guitar.

We had a great Christmas here in our little house....Hope your family had a great Christmas as well!

Messy

Spaghetti is one of my favorite meals....growing up I would almost always request it as my birthday meal...so we weren't too surprised when Wyatt also took a liking to it!
As you can see...he likes to play...I mean eat the noodles. Now if only he would eat the meat and other veggies that I add to it! Maybe when he is 3!

Pussy versus Printer

So this is the video that has Wyatt in stitches!...I think the sound effects make it what it is!

More giggles

Brian, Wyatt, and I spent a little time cruising YouTube for funny videos. Brian happened upon one entitled cat vs printer....Wyatt absolutely loved it! After the first bout of giggles I went and grabbed the Flip camera to capture the second round!....I will also post the YouTube video so you can see what he's laughing at!

SOLD!!!

Well...after many more months then anyone thought....we sold the house! We officially close on Friday. I think we are both pretty happy to move on to the next place in our life....if only we knew for sure where that was going to be:)

Hopefully we will fall in love with another house sooner than later and be homeowners rather than renters!

The Joys of Moving

Well, we've sold the house...and our closing date is looming over us. Thus boxes and tubs are aplenty in our house right now.
Wyatt is loving it! I consistently find him in a box or a tub along with a gaggle of toys or snacks. He's also found he can turn the tubs over and make them into chairs or climbing devices! Creative....but equally dangerous:)

Wyatt+Shrek 2=Giggles

We recently purchased a few more Disney/Pixar movies for Wyatt's enjoyment. He is especially enamored by Toy Story, Cars, and Shrek. In particular he loves the part in Shrek 2 where Shrek, Fiona, and Donkey are in the carriage to Far Far Away.....when Donkey keeps popping his lips. These giggles are from this part of the movie!

Ruff, Ruff, Ruff!

Here is our little puppy, Wyatt! We thought he wouldn't wear his costume, but much to our surprise he was thrilled to wear it.....minus the hood.

Speaking of the hood...Brian got Wyatt to wear it for just a few seconds before we left to do a little trick or treating.

Here he is again....a little happier as we let him keep the hood down!

My little Pumpkin:)

For all of our frequent readers....I can't promise any photos of Wyatt in his doggy costume...but we will try our hardest to get him to wear it and not scream!
Now for some pumpkin fun!
What do you get with three pumpkins, a few knives, and enough cardboard to cover the kitchen table?......a night of gooey fun!

Wyatt wasn't sure at first about the whole sticking his hand into the pumpkin, but after daddy did it he HAD to try it too!...it didn't happen too many times.

'What's in there?'

Wyatt enjoyed poking the skin of the pumpkin with the various tools...and wasn't impressed when I wouldn't let him use the knife.

Brian and I also did a pumpkin each....with patterns to follow! Here is our little family of pumpkins:)
Happy Halloween everyone!

Birthday Party Part 2!

Here are all four of the kiddos eating lunch! Hot dogs/bras, fruit, and chips!

What my own computer!? Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Balk!

Here Wyatt is anxiously waiting for me to open his car from his cousins.

This is my new favorite photo....Wyatt is and does everything daddy these days! I just love it!
Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Linn for this cool car!

They say it's your birthday...part 1

Here is Wyatt playing with the new police remote control car Grace, Emilia, and Landon gave him!

I don't know how he knew what to do with this whole blowing out the candle thing...but he was all about it! We did it twice!

Cake?! Wyatt just ate the frosting...but not the cake. He also loved the ice cream!

This is the only 'good' family picture we got. Wyatt was way past nap time by the time we tried to take this photo. At least it's funny....right?!

I think Wyatt was pretty pooped by the end of the afternoon. He fell asleep on the way home holding the balloons! Adorable!

Birthday Wishes!!

We had Wyatt's birthday party a few days before his birthday with our families. We had a great time grilling, opening presents, playing...and of course eating birthday cake.

Last year Wyatt was not big enough to blow his birthday candle, but this year he was all about it... we let him do it twice!

Who's Clues? Blue's Clues!

Well, Wyatt's second birthday is just a few days away (19th)...so we are having our family birthday party Sunday. He is currently into everything that is puppy and Blue's Clues. We baked this cake this morning....Wyatt's favorite part, licking the mixing spoon!

I had to wait until nap time to decorate it...as frosting, food coloring, and a two year old seem like it might be a disaster.

Four frosting colors, half a dozen dirty bowls, and a couple hours.....gave us a pretty neat birthday cake that I can't wait to show Wyatt tomorrow! I've currently got it hidden on top of the washing machine!

I will be sure to put on a bunch of pictures from his birthday party.
I hope for some good pictures of little kids playing with balloons, covered in blue cake, and having a great time!
Do I need to mention that I CANNOT believe that my little baby is now a two year old?!?!

Three Peas in a Pod

Well, this first picture doesn't have three people in it...peas...or a pod....but it is one of my new favorite pictures of Wyatt. He looks so grown up in these pajamas.
He isn't a big fan of the footie pajamas right now, so this pair that doesn't have feet are perfect!
Now to our three peas in a pod....

Grace, Wyatt, and Emilia!
Everyone came over on Friday to help my grandparents move into their new apartment. We had pizza and these three just devoured it!
This time next year cousin Landon will be in on this action as well!

Wyatt's New Discovery

Wyatt seems to discover something new everyday...this one I caught on camera. He had figured out the light in the dryer months ago...but he now knows it applies to the fridge as well. I guess if our milk spoils we know whose fault it is!

Knocked Out

We showed our house last Tuesday, so Wyatt and I went over to Grandma and Grandpa Balk's house to hang out. Grandma, Wyatt, and I went for a walk on the bike trail by their house. Wyatt ran most of the way there and back.

When we drove home he fell asleep and was completely knocked out! I let him sleep for about 45 minutes but had to wake him up so he would sleep through the night. It has been so long since I'd gotten to watch him sleep...just like when he was a baby!

Faces

It is hard to get Wyatt's picture these days...unless he's eating, because he insists on taking the camera to play with. So this is the type of pictures I usually get when I get the camera out.
I do, however, love the look on his face here...I wonder what he's thinking!

It's hard to tell from this picture, but Wyatt fell asleep while eating lunch last weekend. He's been keeping odd hours ever since we put him into a big boy bed. He does this a lot at daycare these days too.

Big Boy Bed

For the past few weeks Wyatt has been able to climb out of his pack and play at daycare...but had never attempted to get out of his crib at home...that all changed at nap time yesterday.

Brian put him in his crib and we assumed he would go to sleep as usual. About 20 minutes into nap time we heard his door shut, I went to investigate and was greeted with a 'hi mommy,' when I opened the door.

No, he wasn't in the crib, he was standing by the door knocking on it. I would also add, he was very proud of his gymnastic feat of flipping out of the crib.
So I made my second trip of the day to Walmart and bought this front rail contraption. He thought it was pretty funny when I showed him the new set up....he immediately flipped over the new rail into bed.
He was impressed with this until it was time for bed. Our bedtime routine (two or three minutes) was lengthen into almost 45 minutes...and on top of that when he woke up at 2:00 AM he refused to go back to sleep in it.
I guess we'll see how nap time and bedtime go today....wish us luck!

Books

Wyatt has always loved books, but it's expanded to a whole new level the past few weeks!
He now insist upon sleeping with at least two books in addition to his little doggie and blankie...we aren't sure where he got this idea, but it's pretty cute to hear him 'reading' them over the baby monitor at night!

He has also found where I keep my books....cookbooks that is. Whenever he is not being watched he seems to make his way into the kitchen, scatter my cookbooks around the room, and read.

Maybe in a few years he'll know enough about cooking that he can help me out with this task!

New Pictures

This is what Wyatt looks like after eating an Oreo blizzard....he loves ice cream just like mommy.

I snapped this picture as Wyatt was watching TV and attempting to hide under the couch. I love how his diaper shows out of the top of his jeans! Soon enough...hopefully...we won't have diapers anymore!

I'm not sure what he was doing here....coloring on a pumpkin, climbing the chair, or writing in Brian's notebook....or maybe all three! He's become so active and his words are just exploding! Last week he said, 'what happened,'...I was totally shocked. It was so cute coming out of an almost two year old mouth.

September 4, 2010

Food!

Wyatt loves popcorn! Almost every night he begs to make/eat some. I'm not quite sure if he likes making it more or eating it more....or dumping it on the floor!

He has also acquired a taste for corn on the cob! It's pretty funny to watch. By the time he is about half done he's got more on himself and the floor than in his mouth.

Some Recent Pictures

I attempted to get a picture of Wyatt playing with two oven mitts on his hands...but of course he saw the camera and started running towards me before I could 'click'! He loves the camera!

"What, these aren't my shoes?" Wyatt loves to try to walk around in Brian's heavy duty boots. And now that I look at this picture....I'm not sure he has any shorts on....Brian must have changed his diaper...hmmmmm!

This one I took today. Daddy was being a good example for Wyatt to copy! Our little guy loves books. I think Brian read him Sesame Street's The Bunny Hop three or four times in a row this afternoon!
